Anesthesia Monitoring and Text Messaging

Making sure all patients at Legacy Veterinary Clinic remain safe during surgery and other medical procedures is a priority we take seriously. Anesthesia and patient monitoring vary greatly from clinic to clinic. We use the most effective and up-to-date protocols and equipment.

At Legacy Veterinary Clinic we perform pre-anesthetic blood testing on all pets prior to any general anesthesia. All of our patients receive an IV catheter and fluids using advanced fluid pumps during anesthesia.

A specially trained veterinary technician continually makes assessments of your pet’s temperature, heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, blood oxygen level and electrocardiography using advanced monitoring systems to help minimize anesthetic risk, maintain smooth anesthesia and recovery.

Our clients receive picture messages of pets during procedure and recovery time providing permission is given. Take advantage of this free service we provide to save time, not to mention receiving a picture is usually worth a thousand words!
